This policy explains what the Payshift app and this website do with your information. Questions go to support@docusmarter.com.
Data that stays on your phone
Payshift works without an account. Your jobs, pay rates, shifts, breaks, tips, notes, schedules, pay stubs and deductions are stored on your device. We cannot see them. Reminders are scheduled on your device too.
Timesheets, reports and backups are files you create. They go only where you choose to send or save them.
Data that leaves your phone
Only these optional features send data to our servers, which run on Google Firebase in the United States. All of it is encrypted in transit.
- Account and sync (Pro). If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier and any name or email address that provider shares. Your Payshift data, including jobs, shifts, tips, notes and pay stubs, is stored so it can sync between your phones. Only your account can read it.
- Manager links (Pro). A link publishes a summary of your hours for one job for this pay period and the three before it, and whether you are clocked in. Pay is included only if you turn it on. Notes are never included. Anyone who has the link can read that summary. Stop sharing deletes it.
- Team schedules. Members of a team can see the team name, your display name, your job color, and your shift times from 3 days ago to 14 days ahead. Pay, tips and notes are never shared. Leaving a team deletes your entry.
Manager links and teams use an anonymous identifier, created when you first use one of them, so that only you can change what you shared.
Purchases
Apple and Google process all purchases. We never receive your payment details. The app reads your purchase status on your device to unlock Pro.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data, or share it for advertising.
- We do not show ads or use analytics or tracking tools in the app.
- We do not share your hours with your employer. Only you can do that.
Service providers
We use Google Firebase for authentication and storage of the optional features above, Apple and Google for sign-in and purchases, and Cloudflare to host this website. They process data only to provide these services, under their own privacy terms.
This website
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the site. The paycheck estimate on the home page runs in your browser, and what you type is not sent anywhere. Manager link pages load the shared summary from Firebase.
How long we keep data
We keep synced data until you delete it or delete your account. Manager links last until you stop sharing, and team entries last until you leave the team or the team is deleted. If you email us, we keep the message as long as we need it to help you.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: go to More → Account & sync → Delete account, or follow the steps on the delete account page. This removes your synced data, manager links and team entries.
- Delete data on your phone: delete the app. Backups you saved are yours to delete.
- Access or correct your data: most of it is in the app. For anything else, email us.
Depending on where you live, including California and the EU, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, and to complain to a regulator. Email us to use them. We will not treat you differently for doing so.
Children
Payshift is made for adults and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date.
